Ready for assembly: the foundation interface

First CLT wall panel being set on a prepared foundation
First CLT wall panel being set on a prepared foundation

When a mass timber superstructure lands on a jobsite, the foundation is already in place, the anchors are embedded, and the backfill is complete. Piers, slab, or stem walls, depending on the project.

We do not engineer foundations. We do coordinate them: the drawing set defines the anchor layout, the bearing lines, and the tolerances, so the interface between concrete and timber is settled before either exists. That is what lets erection start fast on day one.

With the foundation ready, the next constraint is space: where the bundles land.
