Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Mass Timber Co. (“we”, “us”) collects when you use masstimberco.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Mass Timber Co. is a design-build firm based in Victor, Idaho (PO Box 620, Victor, Idaho 83455). We design, source, coordinate, and install cross-laminated timber (CLT) structural systems for custom homes in Jackson Hole, Teton Valley, Sun Valley, Park City, and select projects across the Mountain West. This website exists so owners, architects, and builders can learn how we work and start a conversation with us.
What we collect and why
We collect only what you send us and what your browser sends automatically.
Information you give us
- Project inquiries: your name, company, role (owner, architect, builder, or other), phone, email, the project location, its stage, timeline, and anything you tell us about the design. We use it to answer you, assess whether mass timber fits the project, and, if we work together, to plan and deliver the work.
- Email and phone: your contact details and what you tell us, so we can respond and keep a record of the conversation.
- Text messages: your mobile number, if you choose to text with us. See our Text Message Terms.
Information collected automatically
Our web host and WordPress record standard server logs: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, and time of request. We use these to keep the site running, secure, and available. Form submissions also record the IP address and time of submission to help us block spam. Images on the site are served through an image optimization service that may log the same standard request data.
Payment information
We do not collect card or bank details on this website. Project agreements, deposits, and invoices are handled directly between us and you under a written contract.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the people and services needed to run the business:
- Our team and project partners, such as the engineers, fabricators, and installers involved in your project, and only what they need to do their part.
- Service providers that host this website, store form entries, optimize images, and deliver our email. Form entries are stored in our website’s database and emailed to our office.
- Law enforcement or courts when required by law, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets only the cookies WordPress needs to function. If we add a website analytics service, it may set its own cookies to measure traffic in aggregate; we would use that data only to understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.
We do not run advertising or remarketing on this site, and we do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because we do not track you across other websites.
How long we keep it
Inquiry records are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and, if a project follows, for the life of the project and the record-keeping period that applies to construction work, generally up to seven years after completion. Server logs are kept for a short period for security. You can ask us to delete your information sooner; see your choices below.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form entries are stored on a password-protected website account with access limited to our staff. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.
Children
This site is for adults planning building projects. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Access or correct the information we hold about you.
- Delete your information, unless we need to keep it for an active project, a dispute, or the law requires it.
- Stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. See our Text Message Terms.
- Stop emails by asking us. We send emails about your inquiry or project only; we do not run a marketing list.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected] or call 305-509-0332. We will verify that the request comes from you and respond within 30 days.
Third-party links
Pages on this site may link to other websites, such as our media kit or project partners. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
